Stephen Les graduated with a BFA in Filmmaking from NYU. He worked as a producer of corporate communications in New York City. Relocating to New Hampshire, he focused on writing and directing short-form content. He worked in Boston as a grip on feature films and commercials. In Seattle he continued work on short films, and also on working as a grip. He worked on Northern Exposure, Disclosure, The Vanishing, and many other feature films, commercials, and television shows. He was a charter member of IATSE Local 488, and a founding member of the Northwest Film Forum, and he sat on the board of the Rainy States Film Festival. His short film The Red Ball was an official selection of the Seattle International Film Festival. He entered into the post production arena as a negative cutter, cutting the negative for the John Waters film Cecil B. Demented, and also for Smoke Signals, and for many other features and shorts. He became the Director of Operations of a post production company. Relocating to Los Angeles, he wrote and directed a feature film, Lost To Love. Since then he has worked as a post supervisor, editor, and colorist--also being heavily involved in post production for 360 content. In his spare time he enjoys photography, making digital music, and boxing.
