In 1995 Livesey completed his English Art School Education by attending the prestigious Royal College of Art in London to study a two year Master of Arts. Whilst at the RCA he worked part time as a projectionist. When the theatre was empty he would screen his own celluloid experiments. Re-filming these again from the screen became his Showreel. Based upon these raw textural time based illustrations, Tony Scott commissioned his first directing break - a 15 minute short for Showtime network called 'The Hunger'. As a one man crew Livesey lit, choreographed, filmed and hand spliced this riveting sequence winning his first Emmy Nomination and second D&AD. Title Sequences followed for Ridley Scott. First, Gladiator, then the multi-award winning sequence for Hannibal, and designing and directing a sequence for Black Hawk Down. In 2001 Livesey Co-Founded The Fireflies, a charity cycle ride from Geneva to Cannes. Livesey rode the first ten years. The Fireflies has now spread to different parts of the world. San Francisco to Los Angeles. New Zealand... Raising millions for Blood Cancer Research. Livesey directed award winning short films for Rapha, Vogue, and Discovery Channel. In 2010 he had a solo photographic exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society in London 'Patagonia Through a Pinhole'. His award winning commercial work spans the globe from FIFA to Cathay Pacific, Lucozade to Bank of America, Gillette to Toyota, Dyson to Pro-Evolution Soccer. He has shot many of the world's best soccer players including Messi & Ronaldo. Nick is represented for Film by United Talent Agency.
