English born and trained, Kester lives and works as an actor in France. After training at the Lecoq school and working in theatre, he appeared in Jeanne Captive (Philippe Ramos, 2011), with Clémence Poesy, Mathieu Amalric and Liam Cunningham. In 2020, he appeared in The Translators (Regis Roinsard) with Lambert Wilson and Alex Lawther. He can currently by seen in Mia Hansen-Løve's One fine morning, with Léa Seydoux, and will appear with her again, along with George MacKay in Bertrand Bonello's The Beast, in 2023. He is the English voice of Fernando Alonso, in the Amazon Prime mini-series, Fernando. He was the voice of a limousine in Holy Motors, and played an undertaker in Christie Malry's own double entry. He's also an accomplished voice artist, and acting coach.
