Sean Ireland is a filmmaker/writer/producer currently residing in Santa Monica, Ca. Sean has developed and/or participated in more than twenty five feature length films, working in every department, from art department to script supervision, to production managing. Sean has also served as producer, associate producer and executive producer on several films. Sean wrote, directed, and produced the feature film, "Sway." The film was shot on location at a closed prison in Springfield, Massachusetts and featured 74 actors and an extensive crew. He also wrote, directed, and produced a television PSA in 2007 entitled, "What are You Waiting For?" and was selected as a finalist among more than 500 entries in the California wide anti-smoking commercial contest. In the summer of 2009 Sean wrote, directed, produced, and edited his second feature, "The Foreclosure." Sean wrote, directed, and produced his third film, a boxing story, "The Sweetwater Boxing Club," in 2012. In 2014 Sean produced, along with John Beaton Hill and David Cooley, "The Wolves of Savin Hill." He also worked in production and as film editor. "The Wolves of Savin Hill" premiered at the San Diego Film Festival in September, 2014 where Director John Beaton Hill won the the prestigious Chris Brinker award for Best New Director. In May of 2015 the film showed at the IFS Los Angeles Film Festival at the Beverly Hills Music Hall and won the "Audience Choice Award for best picture." In summer 2015 Sean wrote, directed, produced, and edited a short film entitled, "The Love Killer," starring Paul Carafotes, Donald Watson, and Elissa Forsythe. Sean is developing several projects, including the features, "Jailbird," "A Brewery of Eggshells," and "Girl 17," a project he intends to shoot this fall and winter. A graduate of Harvard University's ALM Masters program in the Humanities, Sean teaches Creative Writing, English Composition, World Literature, and Children's Literature at Santa Monica College and Los Angeles City College.
