'Unaccredited' vocalist of the song 'Forever Young' from the 1983 film of the same name, appearing therein as 'Band Member'. The singer/songwriter was born Roger James Scarrott in Evesham, Worcerstershire UK on 13 May 1944, and played/toured/recorded with bands in the 1960s. Later recorded as solo artist. In 1964, Roger and his group were signed by Norrie Paramour for Colombia Records, who changed the band name to The Roger James Four The bands' contract included the standard clause that their first single reached the 2,000 sales figure or be terminated. Playing at Butlins, Bognor Regis UK at the time of release (Spring 1965), copies were shipped to the holiday camp to be sold on site! Throughout the Sixties, Roger James played on recording sessions with The Joe Loss Orchestra and The Les Reed Orchestra, with which he performed on lead guitar on the soundtrack album of the Marianne Faithfull film, 'Girl On A Motorcycle'.. As well as working as musical director and playing the role of a musician on the 1983 film 'Forever Young', Roger worked in a similar capacity with Paul McCartney on his 1984 film 'Give My Regards To Broad Street' Recordings of The Roger James Four and Roger as a solo artist are freely available
