Arthur L. Jarrett was a stage actor and writer. He was the father of singer Arthur Jarrett and the brother of Daniel Jarrett, Broadway playwright. He played in stock companies all over the US from the 1890s, and appeared in 1955 in the play "The Bad Seed." In 1952, he was seen in "The Shrike" with José Ferrer. He also worked in movies and TV. He co-wrote the plays "My Fair Ladies" (with Marcy Klauber, 1941), "Springtime for Broadway" (same), "Romance on the Rye" (same collaborators, 1938), Moonlight and Pretzels (1933) (screenplay), "Broken Heart Cafe" (1938), "Bundles from Britain" (1941), "So Far So Good" (with Klauber, 1938) and "Obediently Yours" (with Klauber, 1940).
