David Jolliffe was born in Glendale, California to Actress Glorya Lord and Broadcast Executive Richard Jolliffe on November 19, 1952. He made his professional debut one decade later at the age of ten, shooting a national commercial for Kraft Marshmallows. David, who is known as Bernie -- the guy with big red afro--in the iconic '70s TV sitcom Room 222 went on to play a variety of roles as a frequent guest star throughout his television career. In the 1980s, he became one of the more successful commercial performers of the time, appearing in well over 100 commercials. David now works as a highly successful voice-over performer and ADR Looper, voicing well over 1,000 television episodes. In 1995, due to his growing disenchantment with the administration of The Screen Actors Guild (SAG), David ran for and was elected to both the SAG and AFTRA National Boards. Shortly thereafter, he was elected as SAG National Vice President. In addition to now serving as a SAG-AFTRA Local and National Board Member, David is proud to have just been re-elected as the Los Angeles Local Vice President of SAG-AFTRA. David is married to Mary Ellen Lord - The love of his life.
