Cherry Jones is an American actress whose career spans theater, television, and film. A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, she began working in Pittsburgh’s City Theatre before co-founding the American Repertory Theater in 1980. She made her Broadway debut in 1987 and has since built a body of work recognized with two Tony Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, and nominations for an Olivier Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Active in both classical and contemporary productions, her television and film roles broadened her international reach.
