Hannelore Mabry studied sociology and worked later as a journalist and voice actor. She was an active feminist and author and founded ' Bayerische Archiv der Frauenbewegung e.V', an archive for documents relating the feminist movement. Her writings and files of her society can be found at 'Institut für Zeitgeschichte' in Munich. Because she suffer from the Alzheimer's disease she lived in an elderly residence in Munich until her death in 2013.
