Kurt Kassulke graduated summa cum laude from Stanford University in 1987 where he double majored in music and communication. After Stanford he attended graduate school at USC's School of Cinema-Television where he mixed over 100 student films and earned a MFA in Film Production. After graduating in 1991, he began dubbing feature films. After several years mixing effects for features, Kurt moved over to TV working on shows with Chris Carter (X-Files, Millennium), Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Firefly), David Kelley (Ally McBeal, The Practice) and Stephen Bochco (NYPD Blue). He was nominated for an Emmy for his work on The X- Files and The Practice and won an Emmy in 1998 for his work on Ally McBeal.
