Jim Mitchell

Jim Mitchell was a musician who served as a member of Joe Raposo 's Sesame Street (1969) band for twenty-six years. He was primarily a guitarist, but he also played other stringed instruments, such as the banjo, as needed. Mitchell played in other jazz groups as well, and in 1990, he formed his own band called the Jazz Guys, a trio that also consisted of Ev Cook and Bruce Chappelle and covered the Great American songbook.
