Dan Mintz is the Founder and CEO at DMG Entertainment, a global media and entertainment company that has produced blockbuster films, including "Iron Man 3" and "Looper". Under his leadership, DMG completed its largest IP acquisition of Valiant Entertainment's massive comic book universe, leading to the production of the feature film "Bloodshot". Mintz was born in New York City and attended the School of Performing Arts. He started his career as a Commercial Director/Director of Photography, shooting commercials for brands such as Budweiser and Volkswagen. His first feature film, "Cookers" won many awards, including Best Film at the Milano International Film Festival. It also won Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Music. Mintz is a visionary entrepreneur recognized worldwide as one of the most influential individuals in the global entertainment industry. In the 1990s, Mintz Founded DMG Entertainment. He grew an ad agency, media agency, event agency, and feature film production and distribution company under this umbrella. Mintz is the innovation engine behind DMG. His early visionary roots in China gave him immense insight and value as he took the company public with a market capitalization of $7 billion on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. DMG Entertainment completed one of the largest literary deals of 2016 when it acquired the rights to best-selling fantasy author Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe. The company's IP universe expanded further when it moved into technology with the launch of Transformers Next-Gen Battle Center in partnership with Hasbro. As a producer, Mintz has made films such as "Iron Man 3" (2013), "Looper" (2012), "Point Break" (2015), and the recently released, "Bloodshot" (2020). He has worked on films with talent such as Robert Downey Jr., Johnny Depp, Vin Diesel, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Morgan Freeman, Guy Pierce, Sir Ben Kingsley, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Ray Winstone, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Edgar Ramirez, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jon Favreau, and James Cameron. Mintz has partnered with such major motion picture studios as Disney, Paramount, Sony, and Warner Bros.
