As a student of visual communication, Tyron Montgomery directed the animated film "Quest" which won over 40 international awards in 1996/97, including the Oscar for best animated short film and the Cartoon d'Or. For his cultural contributions Tyron was awarded the Goethe Medal of Honor by the Ministry of Hesse (Germany), as the youngest person in history. His graduate short film "Our Garden" was the world's first stop-motion film for the movie screen, shot and edited entirely digital. In the following years, Tyron Montgomery worked on stop-motion commercials in Bristol and London (United Kingdom), as video artist for theater plays in Paris (France) and as visual effects supervisor on movies, TV productions and commercials in Munich (Germany). Since this time, he has been giving lectures at various German universities, media schools and film academies, and he has been a member of many film juries. After moving from Paris to Munich, in 2000, Tyron Montgomery's focus shifted to design, web-design, multi-media and programming. In 2007, in addition to his advertising Agency in Munich, he co-founded "iCharts" in the Silicon Valley, a company focusing on interactive data visualization online. Tyron won many awards as a web-designer, became a regular member of the renown Red Dot Design Award jury and holds patents for online data visualization. iCharts was awarded NetSuite SuiteApp of the Year, in 2016. Broadband Internet brought film and video productions back into Tyron Montgomery's life, as part of his online work, at first with a focus on corporate communication. Since 2019, Tyron Montgomery is now specializing in the production of classical music videos. In addition he continues to work as visual effects consultant, designer and programmer and integrates model photography and stop-motion into his work for corporate clients, rather than using computer generated images.
