Growing up in South Florida, Knox was making short films and animated cartoons from an early age, fascinated with Walt Disney and Alfred Hitchcock. In a family rich in ethnic diversity, Knox developed a mimic's talent and an ear for dialogue. Writers like Ray Bradbury and Richard Matheson captured his imagination, and left an indelible, inspiring stamp, forging his writing habit in his early teens. His undergrad years were filled with short story writing, work in theater as an actor and director, as well as intercollegiate forensic (Speech) competition. Between college and Graduate School, he completed freelance design and animation projects for clients including MCI, Disney, Toshiba, Marriott Resorts and several Pro-Sports franchises. After his studies in USC's Graduate School of Cinema/Television, Knox wrote and directed his first feature, "All Over Again" (2000), with the invaluable contributions of investors and friends from the Eastern United States. Shot over 23 days in October, the film starred Robert Loggia, Craig T. Nelson, and John Amos. "All Over Again" went on to earn Knox the "Best Drama" award at the 2001 Santa Clarita International Film Festival, and acclaim at other festivals around the country. After a re-cut in 2007, the movie was given a new title: "Against Time" for domestic home video. Knox develops stories and scripts for film and TV, and has completed projects over various genres for over eighteen independent film producers, in addition to several video games. Family projects have included 'Fireflyz', a quirky, family-oriented animated series, "Cat Tale", an animated feature for Imagi USA, and "The Noble Key" - an animated, sports-oriented series for Imagi and Adidas. His horror-comedy "War Monkeys" was in development with David Ellis ("Snakes on a Plane") attached to direct, until the director's tragic, untimely passing. Knox lives in Los Angeles, enjoys swimming, studying marine biology, and learning about life from his adopted dogs, Sophie and Nora. He and his partner in Imagination Bay, Scott Blanding, are developing a number of projects for features and TV.
