Jason Nielsen

Jason Nielsen is an award winning visual storyteller who edits television movies, scripted series and documentaries for international broadcast and streaming services. Jason began his picture editing career on the on the acclaimed children's series, Incredible Story Studio, starring Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black). Jason went on to edit dramatic and comedic programs including the Emmy nominated series, Corner Gas (CTV, Canada). Jason moved into independent documentary programming when he co-wrote and edited the innovative art and nature series, Landscape as Muse (Bravo Network, Canada), which won The Gemini Award for Best Arts Documentary (2008). Since 2016 Jason has edited over forty television movies including Murdaugh Murders starring Bill Pullman (Independence Day) and The V.C Andrews' Dawn Series (2023/ Lifetime). Jason was honored with Gemini and Leo Award Nominations for Best Editing and is the recipient of various Directors Guild of Canada Awards. Jason is proud to have his work in the collections of The National Gallery of Canada and The National Archives in Ottawa.
