Founder of the Camera department at most prominent film school in Yugoslavia/Serbia, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Vladeta Lukic was, before the II World War, a film amateur, a lawyer, a prominent cinematographer of more than 40 short films and a number of feature films. Since the 1960's the only lecturer of film camera at film directing courses at the old film academy in Belgrade. Professors of the first generation of camera students were prominent filmmakers and theorists: Rados Novakovic, Branibor Debeljkovic, Dusan Stojanovic, Vladimir Pogacic, Marko Babac, Pavle Vasic, Vlada Petric. Teaching in the first two years, led by Professor Vladeta Lukic, covered the basics of film techniques and elements of film language, methods of lighting in the studio, exponometry, as well as laboratory treatment processes of the film.
