Scott McIsaac, a producer on several Academy Awards broadcasts, has also written for PBS's American Masters series ("The Great American Songbook" starring Michael Feinstein), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences official documentary on the history of coming attractions, which is distributed to colleges and universities nationwide, and other documentaries and television programs. After 9/11 he was tapped by the CIA to write classified training, historical, and proposal films, work which expanded to writing for the National Security Agency. The subjects of two of the true crime episodes he wrote for Discovery's "Guilty or Innocent" series have been freed from jail after lengthy sentences for crimes that they clearly did not commit, or for which the show revealed prosecutorial misconduct and strong evidence of actual innocence. Scott appears as an onscreen film historian in many documentaries accompanying classic films on DVD from MGM and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, including "Notorious" (Hitchcock), "Spellbound," "An Affair to Remember," "Jane Eyre," "Our Man Flint," and the Charlie Chan and Mr. Moto series. He was also a writer-producer for IFC's "ifilm@ifc" series covering the world of independent film.
