Peter McSweeney is a Mancunian/Irish a screenwriter, actor and director based in London and LA. He trained as an actor at EAST 15 Acting School (foundation) and then achieved a full scholarship to train at the Arts Ed School of Acting, London on their BA (Hons) Acting. Upon graduating, instead of embarking on the job hunt, he felt he needed to see more of the world and experience life away from the industry. He worked all over America, Japan, Australia and most of Eastern Europe in a variety of interesting and exciting jobs, meeting a wide range of fascinating people. When he returned he worked a club promoter, opened a creative events company, taught self-development and communication skills. This helped him develop his screenwriting skills along with venturing into stand up comedy (performed with Alan Davies, Romesh Ranganathan and Sara Pascoe) and ultimately becoming a more earthy, grounded actor appose to the polished 'drama school graduate' he previously was. He has written screenplays for RADA/Warner Bros and optioned two classical novels which are currently being adapted into a screenplay. He working with Jeremy Piven on an adaptation of Arthur Miller's 'The Performance' co-starring Isla Fisher and Michael Shannon. Peter is the series creator for VACCA, the biographical drama about Dr Edward Jenner. His particular path has allowed him to develop into a more engaging artist, whereas running his own companies has given him a valuable set of business skills. Peter is also the co-founder of Film Interactive which produces VR and interactive films, computer games and content for companies.
