Loren Mendell

A producer, director and documentary filmmaker, Loren's experience spans from independently financed feature films to big budget television series and branded-content campaigns. Loren served as Supervising Producer for the Netflix docu-crime series American Manhunt: Boston Marathon Bombing. As a contract filmmaker for Bally Sports' Creative Content Group, Loren directs, produces and oversees the production of documentaries and features that are distributed nationally to the network's regional partners. Previously, Loren's work for FOX Sports was recognized for excellence across media platforms, from the branded-content series Replay (Gatorade & Chiat-Day) to the Warriors Among Us campaign, which honors our armed forces. Prior to joining FOX Sports, Loren's list of credits includes the Oscar-nominated short Our Time Is Up, the Emmy-winning television series Intervention (A&E) and the Emmy-winning television series FRONTLINE/World (PBS). Loren's filmmaking career began when his graduate thesis was nominated for an International Documentary Association Award. Subsequently, he secured financing to start a documentary production company with his friend and collaborator Tiller Russell, where they produced a slate of award-winning films. Additionally, Loren has taught filmmaking at UC Santa Barbara and has guest lectured at USC's film school. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (BA) and the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts (MFA), Loren is a former collegiate baseball player who enjoys coaching in the local rec league.
