Ellen Michaels

Buxom, shapely and sultry brunette stunner Ellen Michaels was born on February 12, 1953 in Queens, New York City. Her father was a top model in Chicago, a professional wrestler, and a former Mr. America at the San Diego Exposition in California. Michaels was studying for a college degree in elementary education and working a part-time summer break job as a receptionist when she was discovered by "Playboy" magazine. Michaels was the Playmate of the Month in the March, 1972 issue of "Playboy." In the wake of her Playmate stint Ellen went on to become one of the top New York models of the 70s: She appeared in print ads for such products as Diet Pepsi, Runrico Rum, Volkswagon Roka, White Step Toothpaste, Sugar Free Dr. Pepper, Schaeffer Beer, and both Kodak and Polaroid cameras, was the cover model on albums by Eric Clapton, Barrabas, and the Salsoul Orchestra (she was also the poster girl for this latter group), and not only was featured on the cover photos of several romance novels (she's the lovely lady on the cover of the novel "Where Love Has Gone" by Harold Robbins), but also was the model for the cover paintings of numerous romance novels. Moreover, Michaels was a frequent guest at the famous discotheque Studio 54 at the height of the 70s disco craze. She has small parts in the low-budget movies "Checkmate" and "Death Mask." Ellen has done charity work with the disabled and senior citizens. In addition, Michaels ran a volunteer program for the blind for many years. Ellen Michaels now works as a nature and wildlife photographer who specializes in photos of the birds, insects, landscapes and butterflies of Central Park in New York City.
