Director, screenwriter and producer Lorenzo Mieli was born in Rome in 1973. In 2001 he founded Wilder, a company with which he produced the cult series Boris. In 2007 Wilder was acquired by Fox International Channels Italy. In 2009 Lorenzo Mieli founded a new company called Wildside together with Mario Gianani.
