Veteran stage actor and director started his career in Australian television in 1986 with parts in Off The Dish and Sons & Daughters. He was educated at the University of Natal where he received a BA in Literature (1967) and later an MA from the University of Leeds in Drama and FIne Arts in 1972. He spoke German fluently and worked as a voice over artist on a number of projects later in his career. His last television appearance was as Charlie, the old cabinet maker in the Jack Irish series in 2016.
