Carmela Rioseco

Carmela Rioseco Sanchez started acting in the 70s and was very busy but her career was side-lined when she was diagnosed with cancer shortly after appearing in the Los Angeles play The Kitchen at the Nosotros Theater with Ralph Waite, Willford Brimley, & Bert Convy, who all went on to long careers. She recuperated and worked in administrative positions at MGM Studios doing keypunch, then KHJ radio all the while keeping her eye on the biz. She worked for Social Services then started acting again after she retired making national commercials for AT&T, Pepsi w/ Eva Longoria, Kaiser Hospital & McKormick Spices. In the McCormick Spices commercial she plays the grandmother. It was one of her favorites and was made before she became ill (2009?). It captures her gifts very well and is still shown around Thanksgiving.
