Paul Sin Nam Rigter is a Korean born actor and documentary director, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During university he started acting on stage at Toneelgroep Amsterdam. After several years of stage and screen acting he combined his acting with producing and directing his first documentary 'Spelen voor het verleden' (Play for the Past). After this he directed the critically acclaimed documentary 'The Nose - Searching for Blamage' about a rebel perfumer, which premiered at the HotDocs Festival. Paul Sin Nam Rigter directed several series for Dutch national TV such as the three part documentary TV series 'Helden van het Maxima' about the workers in a revolutionary new children's hospital. In 2020 he won the prestigious IDFA Award for Best Dutch Documentary at IDFA for his film 'Dood in de Bijlmer' (Dealing with Death) that highlighted mourning rituals within different ethnic communities in Amsterdam. As an actor he recently participated in a major theater play in the Netherlands called 'Harmonie' and in International drama series as 'Treadstone' (NBC, Amazon, USA) and 'Cold Courage' (Lionsgate, Viaplay, Finland/Ireland/Belgium).
