Jack Roberts was born John Ross Roberts in Toronto, Canada on February 3, 1912. He was the son of Roland and Lauren Roberts. Jack was an actor, screenwriter, and director. He was nominated for an Academy Award in 1947 for the short Champagne For Two. In 1933 he married Jane Clayton Owens. He married actress Alice White in Arizona on August 24, 1940. After several separations they divorced in 1949. Jack died in Palm Springs, California on March 13, 1980 at the age of sixty-eight.
