John Russo was born and lives in New Jersey. His full name is John Christopher Russo-Zirkel. Aside from acting, John Russo is the Lead Singer, Guitarist, and Songwriter for the American rock band, Reverse Order. It all started when John was just six years old, and he asked his parents for his first real guitar for Christmas. Although they didn't have much, John's parents surprised him that Christmas with a Squire Mini guitar, and his-story began. Even though his hands were too small, he started lessons and began rocking out with his brother Cruise who used his plastic Toys R Us drum set. "As my brother Cruise and I got older, we wanted to start a rock band, but it was just us. So, we convinced our friend to get a guitar for Christmas, and a few months later Reverse Order was born." Ever since he was young, John found a passion in music and acting that could be seen throughout his entire life, from singing and dancing in his diapers, to playing guitar and singing in the movie 'The Groomsmen' by Ed Burns when he was only 14, to performing live in front of audiences of thousands of people across the country on a daily basis. John's major accomplishments as a performer include performing live on America's Got Talent, Warped Tour, Bamboozle, releasing three EP's and creating 'Reverse the Trend'. Reverse the Trend is an anti-bullying program devised around music that is presented to students across the country. John's major accomplishments as a writer include receiving a Grammy Nomination for Reverse Order's song "Go". John attended Monmouth University where he majored in marketing and music. After finishing his second year, he transferred to Berkeley Online to be able to tour with his band full time. John enjoys hot wings, horror movies and time with his family and friends. His parents are John Zirkel, an RN, and Cindy Russo an on air expert at QVC and screenwriter. He has an older brother, Cruise who is also an actor and musician and performs as the drummer in Reverse Order.
