Philipp Seipelt

Philipp Seipelt was born at the 19th of November in the year 1982 in Berlin-Charlottenburg (Germany). He visited the Charlotte-Salomon primary school and after this the Leibniz-Gymnasium (high-school) where he was very involved in the theater club as an actor. During is time in high-school he produced and directed - together with his two best friends 'Maximilian Wilms' and 'Florian Possinger' - the documentary 'Die Luftbrücke/The Airlift' and won the producer award on the Berliner Medienfestival für Kinder und Jugendliche (http://www.berliner-medienfestival.d e), a festival for youth people to bring their own films on the big screen. During the last years he was very committed in the organisation of this festival, espacially in the production of the 'Festival-TV', a talkshow from filmmakers for filmmakers. Besides this he was the main editor of a videomagazin for youth people in Berlin called 'obsessions', also in collaboration with his friend. In June 2002 he finished high-school and wanted to get his mind free: he went on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Currently he does one's social service in a youth club with focus on media, where he has the opportunity to work on his career as an director. In April 2003 he'll probably shoot his first own feature film called 'Atlantic'.
