Margaret Selby has worked on live TV productions, including the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Daytime Emmys for NBC and CBS as well as projects for A&E, Lifetime, Warner Brothers, SONY, BBC, and USA Networks. Selby worked with The Children's Television Workshop (now Sesame Workshop) and with the Great Performances: Dance in America on PBS for eight years. She also produced and directed Everybody Dance Now which won a Peabody Award and a Bronze Rose at the Rose d'Or. Her special, Two by Dove, for Dance in America won two Emmy Awards (Outstanding Cultural Program and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Choreography). Selby produced the first hip hop musical on Broadway, Jam on the Groove with Rock Steady Crew, which was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and received rave reviews. She also produced and directed, Chuck Jones: Extremes and In-Betweens - A Life in Animation, along with procuring the financing, Selby was able to secure the participation of Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Steven Spielberg, John Lassiter, Ron Howard and Matt Groening, among others. With a skill for cultivating exceptional talent, Selby also manages the careers of leading choreographers, dance companies and theatrical events, supporting performance and touring around the world. Drawing upon her lifelong passion for dance, theater, music and film, in-depth working knowledge of creative development and performance, Selby has a keen eye on today's performance landscape and the care needed to thrive as we head further into the 21st Century.
