James Pax, is an American producer born of English Father and Chinese mother. James graduated from New York University with a degree in business who then went on to study film production & directing at the University of Southern California. He has lived and worked around the globe in countries & cities such as Rome Italy, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai China & Hollywood California. James has starred in over 100 international film & TV series productions. He played the international film fan favorite character role of Lightning in the Hollywood mega hit Kungfu movie "Big Trouble in Little China (1986)" appearing alongside star Kirk Russell. He has also starred in a multitude of popular Hong Kong & China made films such as ''The Heroic Trio (1993)'', ''Love Among The Triad (1993)'', ''Shanghai Fever (1994)''. In 1997 James Produced & Directed the TV Show ''L.A What's Happening?''. He became the first Asian producer to appear on the Red Carpet at the Chinese Mann Theater to interview hundreds of Hollywood Directors, Producers and actors. The program soon became known as the Asian Version of "Entertainment Tonight", airing on Asian channels & Sky TV in Japan. Morgan Freeman, John Woo & many other well known Hollywood stars also guest appeared on the show. Later in 2017 James Directed & Produced a series of Ice Skating shows that included "Christmas on Ice & Cinderella, in the GD Mall Theater, Guangzhou, China for a 3000 strong audience. It played on a nightly basis for a solid three month period. Successfully showcasing talent & material for a capacity crowd audience, night after night, affording James the accolade of being the first ever Chinese American International Ice Skating show Producer & Director. The author of a book "a Bowl of Fish". In 2017 James Pax established Hangzhou Hot Lips Media International Productions. The company will launch Hot Lips Diner & Bar, Gatsby hotel, Mulan Restaurant / Club in the major cities of China. From 2019, the company will also launch Chinese & English movie titles, as well as TV series production projects, for both China and the international market. James has continuously striven to develop himself further in the world of film making, becoming also an adroit script writer. Author of the book ''A Bowel Of Fish''. Script writer & executive producer of the highly anticipated Big Screen film adaption "Pirate Warriors of South China Sea."
