Patrik Pass is a Slovak film editor, professor of film editing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia and one of the founders of Slovak Audiovisual Fund. He studied film editing at the Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. After finishing his studies, he worked in Czechoslovak Television. He edited number of audiovisual works, often directed by famous Juraj Jakubisko - The Millenial Bee (1983), The Feather Fairy (1985), Sitting on a Branch, Enjoying Myself (1989), Bathory (2004). In 1983, he founded Department of Editing and Sound Composition Studio and at The Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava, Slovakia. In 1996, he established film and TV production company Trigon Production. During its 19-year-long history, the company has created more than 50 000 job opportunities in audiovisual industry. The company provides scriptwriting, dramaturgy, graphic and production services and can therefore ensure supervising in every phase of a filmmaking process. Films produced by Patrik Pass's company has been awarded 103 awards and nominated for various prestigious awards. The most significant are International Emmy Award (2002 - Nicholas G. Winton: Power of Good), Christopher Award (2006 - Nicholas G. Winton: Power of Good), Czech Lion (2008 - Nicholas G. Winton: Power of Good, 2009 - Three Seasons in Hell, 2012 - In the Shadow) and two national nominations for the Academy Awards in category Best Foreign Film. Patrik Pass is member of Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA) and vice-chairman of Slovak Audiovisual Producers Association (SAPA).
