Anna Petkova graduated in Film and TV Directing at National Academy of Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the classes of professor Hristo Hristov.. She has worked as director at Ekran Sudio (1978-1990). Since 1990 she has been a free-lance director. Author of the films: The Break (1979), Taliman Women (1979), Our Children (1980), How Long I Waited for You (fic., 1984), The Consideration (1986), The Sentence - the Guilt (1991), The Sentence - the Accusation (1999), Mentality (2003), Where Is Milkana's Spirit Now (2003), Time Was When (2004).
