Stevan LeRoy Pippin was born in Casa Grande, Arizona, son of M.C. and Lillie Pippin, now of Panama City, Florida. Stevan attended Santa Ana Valley High School in Santa Ana, California. The seeds of his professional career were originally planted on the music side of the business as musician/singer with the popular garage band, "The Groupe". Moving to Nashville, Tennessee in the seventies gave Stevan his first real shot at the business. Shopping himself as a singer/songwriter, Stevan immediately signed a publishing deal with legendary writer Curly Putman ("Green, Green, Grass Of Home"), and parlayed that deal into other areas of the business, including a recording deal with Capricorn Records, which led to being featured singer for numerous national and regional Radio/TV ad campaigns. It was from that point that the TV side of Stevan's career was launched. Stevan landed his first audition for a national spot in 1983, in the role of Loretta's Lynn's son-in-law in her famous Crisco spots. Stevan is currently serving his tenth year as President of Screen Actors Guild (Nashville Branch) and is actively producing records, singing, and acting in films and TV.
