Mara Ravins

Mara Ravins is an independent filmmaker with roots in performance/ installation art and a passion for celluloid photography. She's worked for over 25 years on low and high budget productions, starting out as a Production Designer for independent Canadian films, clocking thousands of hours in the art and wardrobe departments on union shoots. As a writer, director, producer she continues to cultivate creative collaborations - her films, both narrative and documentary, have played at international festivals garnering critical acclaim. Exploring timeless issues around identity, home, and meaningful connection, her work seeks beauty and redemption amidst the small misfortunes of the world.
