Allan Travell was also the local town crier for the towns of Andover, Salisbury, Newbury, and Winchester, England. He often led parades and opened carnivals and local fun fairs. He was a well loved member of society, and died of multiple brain tumors on 13th June 2005. He had six children, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jayne, Josephine, and Jeannette, (they were also known as the six Js). He was a manager and actor in the local drama and pantomime group. He is dearly missed.
