Charles Venturi is one of the few South Beach natives you will ever meet and grew up at his father's motel on Ocean Drive. He has hosted everything from a twelve-month journey across America for Sports Illustrated to a deceptive reality show pilot for 20th Century FOX called "True Love." During the Beijing Olympic Games, Charles hosted Lenovo's Grand Gala at the foot of the historic Five Pagoda Temple in Beijing. In 2007, Charles hosted "Games Fever" an interactive game show that challenged viewers to solve puzzles LIVE on My Network TV for cash prizes five days a week! (Games Fever, produced by Shine Matrix and 20th Century FOX, airs LIVE from 1 - 3 PM on My Network TV in eleven cities across the US.) From 2003 to 2004, Venturi showcased his passion for sports as a host of Sports Illustrated's 50th Anniversary Tour. Sports Illustrated put together his year long, interactive tour to celebrated the magazine's golden anniversary and sent Venturi to visit unique sporting events and cities all over America. While on tour Charles interviewed celebrity athletes like Tom Brady, David Robinson, and Bonnie Blair, played sports trivia games with the crowds, and introduced all the live musical and athletic performances. In August of 04, Venturi traveled to Athens, Greece to host Sports Illustrated's Olympic festivities and in February hosted the SI Swimsuit Party at Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville. Venturi attended Emory University in Atlanta, and won a starting spot on the baseball team mostly for his strong bat. He played for two years and helped the Emory Eagles become a dominant force within their conference. Venturi also became a certified NAUI scuba diving instructor and taught scuba at Emory his junior and senior year. After graduation, Venturi moved back to Miami for one year and then out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment. Venturi first made a splash on FOX as a cast member of the hit reality show "Temptation Island." Over the years he has gained a diverse hosting resume while working for MTV, Dreamworks Television, and FX but his goal remains to one day host a diverse and sexy sports show that moves around the country. As an actor, Venturi got a chance to show off his Spanish language abilities in Dance With Me opposite Chayanne and Vanessa L. Williams. From there, he flew to Munich to play the lead role in Fantasy For A New Age - a three million dollar industrial film for the Siemens Corporation. Shot on location in Munich, Prague, Iceland, and on the streets of New York, the film swept every major industrial film festival including the Chicago International Film Festival. Venturi's proudest independent role is that of Ray Jenkins in Trash. This film tells the tale of three poor, central Florida boys trying to make sense of the changing world around them. Trash has been well received at several film festivals and won "Best Florida Film" at the popular Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival.
