He was born in Paris, France, and immigrated with his family to Canada when he was two. He grew up in Vancouver in a masonry family and spent time on job-sites from a young age. He has a degree in Construction Management and worked as a bricklayer before taking up acting. Still occasionally works construction. He studied acting at Gastown Actor's Studio. He enjoys rock climbing, skiing and cycling. He plays the drums and was in a kid wedding act with his brother and sister.
