Maria Voluntaru was a Romanian film and theatre actress .She was born on May 13 1903 in Murfatlar, Romania .She is the daughter of the doctor Ion Voluntaru and his wife, Maria. She attended the primary school " School of girls nr 2" in Constanta..She graduated from Royal Conservatory of Dramatical Art in Bucuresti in 1928. In 1950, she plays first role in the movie Rasuna valea .
