Mark Weatherbe was born in Oakland, California and started out making crazy art videos in 1980s San Francisco, where he was an art student, all of which have thankfully now been lost. He has since directed 2nd unit on six films and directed several shorts and commercials in England, France and the U.S. He studied directing and editing at U.C.L.A. In '82, he got his B.F.A. in Sculpture, Painting, and Film & Video, from California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. After college he worked for the BBC in London as a visual effects guy and then did special effects for many feature, television, commercial and music video projects including Dr. Who, Contact, Crimson Tide, Star Ship Troopers, Stuart Little and the award winning Earth II and Star Trek. He has written 30 feature scripts, several television treatments and a couple of novels one of which, The End, is now available on Amazon. In 2000, he started Screaming Poodle Entertainment to developed his own projects and produce other people's work. He has worked with lots of show biz people and companies like Roger Corman, John Buechler, Guy Ritchie, Michael Bay, Paul Thomas Anderson, Adam Green, Robert Downy Jr., Jodie Foster, Adam Baldwin, Concord, New Horizon, Amblin, Jim Henson's, Trimark, Sony, Columbia and Warner Brothers. He has worked throughout Europe, the U.S. and the Philippines. Weatherbe is a Writer, Director, Producer, 2nd Unit Director, Art Director, and Special Effects Supervisor. Mark divides his time between Los Angeles and London.
