Jerry Smith

Jerry Smith (1910-1986), aka The Yodeling Cowboy, starred on the (Des Moines, Iowa radio station) WHO Barn Dance. WHO was a clear channel station that could be picked up across most of the USA, so Smith was not an unknown name when he was cast as the singer in three B-westerns from Monogram in 1940. He had a long and active career, but he recorded only for small midwestern regional labels.
