Svetlana Stepchenko was born on July 10, 1965. She received a music education at the Moscow State Conservatory of P.I. Tchaikovsky, where she studied in the class of viola with Professor F. S. Druzhinin. From 1990 to 1992 she was an assistant in the class of Professor FS Druzhinin. Since 1997, Svetlana Stepchenko - soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic. Over the years of creative work S. Stepchenko worked in the USSR State Conservatory under the supervision of E.F. Svetlanov, GAKO of Russia after K. Orbelyan. At the moment S.Stepchenko is the soloist and accompanist of the viola group of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, V. Spivakov, and also collaborates with the State Chamber Orchestra "Virtuosos of Moscow" by Vladimir Spivakov. In her spare time from solo and orchestral activities Svetlana Stepchenko works in studios, announcing animated films. In 2006 she was awarded the title of "Honored Artist of Russia".
