Born George Ferrante on December 11, 1942 he started his acting career as a stunt rider playing Alfred "Al" McGrath in the first two seasons of the Disney serial Spin and Marty (1955 -1956) which was a feature of the Mickey Mouse Club television series. He was the only real cowboy of all the boys on the Fictional "Triple R Ranch" in the series. He was used to do stunts for other boys, and help teach the other young actors to ride, rope, and handle horses. George also played Tom Foster in the Disney film Westward Ho The Wagons. George Ferrante has owned and operated the Ferrante Ranch in Somis, California for many years carrying on a family ranching tradition. Winning many awards for horsemanship over the years since "retiring" from acting, he still teaches horsemanship at his ranch with his wife and daughters.
