Hardy Stockmann

Hardy Stockmann has lived in Thailand since 1967, during which time he has come to know the country and its people and the traditional martial arts intimately, an experienced he voiced by writing an illustrated travel guide and an illustrated history of Muay-Thai. An active martial arts practitioner since his early youth, he has experienced amateur boxing, jiu-jitsu, Taekwondo. He was acclaimed by the sports editors of the major Thai and American magazines for his insight and authoritative research into the history, rituals, and customs of Muay-Thai, the best yet in English language at the end of the 1970s. He is a freelance writer and photographer for magazines in America, Asia, and Europe.
