Calvin Stillwell is a Columbus, Ohio native whose career includes both film and theater in Ohio and California. Stillwell attended UCLA intending to begin a career in Psychology, but soon found himself with opportunities to move into acting and production. His first acting venture took place in 1993 with the film Lost in Yonkers, which was directed by Martha Coolidge and written by Neil Simon. The cast consisted of well known Actors Richard Dreyfuss, Mercedes Ruehl, Irene Worth and many more. A number of other films followed including Q (1999) and The Luau. (2001) Calvin co-starred in both films, which were directed by Barry Bowles. He went on to work for Disney for a time span of two years. Mr. Stillwell then went heavily into film and television production. He has worked on a number of television shows including Living Single, Moesha, Steve Harvey, The Parkers, Trashed and the opening of an MTV show. Calvin is very learned and experienced in his craft. He has studied acting for over 15 years, and method acting for over 10 years. He has been a member of the Actor's Guild for 24 years. In addition, Calvin has studied theater for 21 years with much work in the area of Shakespeare. He has worked in film for 14 years, production for eight years and has created television shows for six years. Stillwell has done production with many foreign projects including co-writing and production of a number of Korean commercials. He has created for low-budget films, which were sold overseas. Beyond all his theater, film and television endeavors, Stillwell has been a motivational speaker in both California and Ohio for the last nine years and CEO of Stillwell Publishing
