Originally from Australia, Gavin is a creator/writer, show runner and exec producer of many New Zealand and international shows. Most recently he was co-creator and writer of Bad Mothers (co-produced by his own company, Filthy Productions) for Channel 9 (Australia) and was co-creator, show runner and writer of Hyde & Seek (for Matchbox Pictures) which also screened on Channel 9 in Australia and New Zealand. Gavin was co-creator and writer on two series of Filthy Rich for Filthy Productions. (A US adaptation is being made by Imagine TV, dir and written by Tate Taylor) and co-created and wrote Dirty Laundry (also for Filthy Productions.) He was screenwriter and EP of historical telemovies, What Really Happened - Votes For Women , and What Really Happened- Waitangi, which screened on TV One. Gavin co-created the hit television series' Go Girls and Nothing Trivial, and was show runner and writer of the critically acclaimed This Is Not My Life. He was co-writer of the feature film, Matariki, (Dir Michael Bennett) which was selected for Toronto and released in 2010. He created and wrote Being Eve (nominated for international Emmy, winner of NY gold medal) and his other credits include: Kaitangata Twitch, Burying Brian, Maddigan's Quest, Mercy Peak, The Chosen, Jackson's Wharf the Lawless telemovies and UK CBBC series Living It. Gavin worked on Shortland Street from 1992 - 94 as its first script editor and head writer. He produced the series in 1995.
