Igor Markovski is born on May 25 in Skopie, Macedonia. He is one of the sons of Macedonian and Bulgarian writer Mile Markovski. Graduate of 7th High School in Sofia in 1980, and MA from the Krastyu Sarafov national academy for theater and film art in Sofia, under the teaching of prof. Sasho Stoyanov. He has a second degree - Mas-media Economy specialty from the University of World and National Economy in 1998. He has been an actor at the city theater of Targovishte, and at "Salza & Smiah" (Tear and Smile) theater in Sofia. After 1990 he is a freelance journalist, talk show anchor at Vitosha radio (an affiliate of VOA-Europe) between 1992 and 1999. Co-founder and editor of Highlife weekly, has been a lead anchor of weekly talk show "Vsiaka Nedelia" (Every Sunday), and Check-mate. He is manager of Bulgarian painters Ivan Yahnadjiev and Edmond Demirdjian. He's also co-owner of Apollo and Mercury art gallery and auction house. He's author of dozens of publication in the national media. In his career he also has a period of being the Communications director of football club FC CSKA - Sofia.
