Karl Haskel bornin Stockholm, was a Swedish TV-producer, director, author and journalist. He began his career in 1957 at the newly started Swedish television company Radiotjänst where he quickly became involved in entertainment and drama. Haskel produced the new talents such as Povel Ramel, Hans Alfredson & Tage Danielsson, and the famous and talked about TV series "Skäggen" (1963). Much later, in the early 70's he produced Jacques Tati's last film, "Parade" (1974). Haskel's interest in art, graphics and culture led to portraits of Axel Fridell and Lennart Jirlow.
