Singer/songwriter, Actress and Voice Actress, Shylo Sharity was raised in a suburb of Vancouver British Columbia and began her musical journey and first public performance at the age of 5. Meghan Trainor, The Guess Who's Randy Bachman, Faber Drive's Dave Faber, Mother Mother's Ryan Guldemond, Gavin Brown, and Zubin Thakkar are just a few of the incredible artists that Shylo Sharity has collaborated with and for this bright new Canadian talent, it is only the beginning. Shylo began voice lessons at the age of 7 and proceeded to collect numerous vocal awards in her youth, but the turning point was winning British Columbia's province-wide contest Variety's Got Talent in 2011, landing her an interview and performance on Global TV as well as going on to open for international country stars Wynonna Judd and Dierks Bentley. Since then Shylo has continued to gain recognition, winning 1st place in the duo category as well as top 10 in the solo female category in Simon Cowell's worldwide online talent competition, The YOU Generation. Shylo also placed in the top 10 of the Canada wide MuchMusic Covers competition. More recently, Shylo was featured on a single with French band Never June and was once again, featured on an EDM single Brace Yourself, co-written with Bryn Liedl and produced and released by Pyramid Recordings in Australia. Shylo's aspirations have always been in the entertainment business, having appeared in several commercials, TV shows, and films. Shylo even scored a supporting role in the TV movie "The School of Life" starring Ryan Reynolds as well as the feature-length film "Door to Door" with William H. Macy and Kyra Sedgwick. Not to mention a singing role on the show "Dead Zone". Shylo's latest achievements are hosting the TV show City Lights on Novus TV, booking the lead in the musical theatre production Sisters oh Mercy at the Boomtown Casino in New Orleans and also becoming the singing voice of Aria Blaze on My Little Pony. When asked about her style, Shylo compares her sound as a mix of pop-icon Katy Perry meets Lana Del Rey, with an underlying influence of Taylor Swift at times when blending classic pop melodies with an intimate acoustic sound. Shyo's music can best be described as Indie/pop Country with an edge.
