Born and raised in Kentucky, David began acting in college. Although he was a music major, the drama program at Campbellsville College was open to all students. After seeing two impressive productions during his first year, a passion was ignited, and he was determined to give it a try. At the beginning of his Sophomore year, he auditioned for "Children of a Lesser God" and was cast in the demanding role of James Leeds (a role he has performed twice since.) Several plays and musicals followed as well as recitals in both voice and piano while working toward a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. His focus on music intensified at the University of South Carolina where he received a Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy. Returning to his hometown of Somerset, KY, to teach music, David was thrilled to discover that a strong theatre company had been established during his absence. He auditioned frequently, performing a wide range of characters in diverse theatrical styles. Intrigued by the possibility of a professional acting career, David ventured to the Big Apple. An interest in film and television lured him to Los Angeles where he lived and worked for five years, but he preferred the spirit and energy of NYC. David returned to the East Coast, teaching music in Manhattan for several years while performing regularly with the St. Bart's Players, an Off Off Broadway theatre company. In 2015 David rebooted efforts toward a full-time performing career as an actor, singer and pianist.
