Lieven Van Gils is a VRT (Flemish public broadcasting) journalist. For years he worked in the VRT sports department, most notably the popular Sunday special Sportweekend. Later he switched to the news department. Lieven became presenter (and fellow journalist) Phara's co-presenter in the current events talk-show that bears her name. In 2009 Van Gils got a guest part (with lines) as star soccer player in an episode of the popular Flemish sitcom De Kampioenen.
