Pauls Bankovskis

Pauls Bankovskis was born in Latvia and was the author of several novels, short stories, and film scripts. His script for the documentary film about Gustav Klucis, one of the foremost representatives of early 20th century Russian avant-guard art, "Klucis - Nepareizais latvietis," received the highest award in Latvian cinema, the Lielais Kristaps (in English: the Big Christopher). He was also awarded the Janis Baltvilks Children's Literature prize and was nominated for the Latvian Literature award several times.
